William “Curly” Davenport, age 76, of Leoma, TN passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at his residence. He was a native of Dalton, GA, owner/mechanic of Davenport’s Garage, and of the Christian Faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Eva Lois Cloer Davenport; and one sister, Marlene Tweedy.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol Davenport of Leoma, TN; three daughters, Sheila Nelson (Mark), Tanesia Sterling (Kevin), and Kim Russ, all of Lawrenceburg, TN; three sons, Keith Davenport (Rosemary) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Lee Roberson (Connie) of Bighill, KY, and Shawn Wright (Christina) of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Helen Campbell (Harry) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Shirley Davenport of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Connie Willis of Haleyville, AL; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, December 27, 2021, with Jeff Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
