Funeral for William Charles “Chuck” Cannon, 54, of Decatur will be Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Nick Pressnell officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Cannon, who died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at his residence, was born April 30, 1959, in Morgan County to Guy and Wilhemina Cannon. Chuck worked various jobs, the last being landscaping. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He loved Alabama football, NASCAR, fishing, outdoor grilling and family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William I. and Mary Johnson, Edna S. Cannon and Elmo H. Cannon.
Survivors include one son, Shane Cannon of Decatur; his parents, Wilhemina and Guy Cannon of Decatur; one brother, Randy Cannon of Decatur; one sister, Sherri Harding (Perry); special aunts, Shirley Champion, Clara Provenza and Joyce Saylor; one grandchild, Kylie Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Harding, Marty Peebles, Farrell White, Brandon Westmoreland, Rick Newell and Boyce Reeves.
