Graveside services for Mr. William C. “Clinton” Ford Jr., age 103 of Lineville, were held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lineville with Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating.

Mr. Ford passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Lineville Health & Rehab. Mr. Ford was born in Clay County in 1917, and graduated from Lineville High school, was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He was a former resident of Birmingham where he retired as Lieutenant after 32 years of service with the Birmingham Fire Department. He is also a member of the Birmingham Retired Fireman’s Association.

He is survived by his daughter, Hazel Marie Humphrey (Bob) of Huntsville; six grandchildren: Robert Humphrey of Seattle, WA, Kecia Pierce (Terry), Scott Humphrey, both of Madison, Roxanne Shirley (Mike) of Lawrenceville, GA, Felicia Vansickle (Sam) of Howell, MI, Debbie Duplain of Salisbury, NC; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Irma C. Ford; his parents, William C. Ford Sr., and Amanda Pearl Dollar Ford; his daughter, Martha Jane Ford Tarter; four sisters: Eulene Ford, Audrey Owen, Elizabeth Tidwell and Dorothy Williamson; three brothers: Harold, James and Kermit Ford.

Active Pallbearers were Mike Shirley, Scott Humphrey, Robert Humphrey, Alex Shirley, Austin Shirley, Dylan Pierce, Charlie Petersen, and Sam Vansickle.
