William “Buddy” Gladish depart this life on November 22, 2014 at his home in Morris Chapel, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years and 19 Days. He was born on November 3, 1942, the son of the late Elbridge Troy and Elma Ann Burns Gladish.
He was united in marriage to Sandy Diane Chilcutt on November 3, 1991. She preceded him in death on November 2, 2012.
Mr. Gladish served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He was also in the Air Force Reserves until 1969. After his service, he was employed by Averitt Express as a Truck Driver for a total of 40 years. He was also a member of the Tennessee Sheriff Association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
“Buddy” was loved and honored by all who knew him. He was a very generous and giving man. He was a man of his word and he always told you like it was.
William is survived by his stepchildren, Johnathan Rosson of Savannah, Tennessee and Misty Bendall of Erin, Tennessee; one sister, Kay Jernigan of Corinth, Mississippi; three brothers, Charlie Gladish of Finger, Tennessee, Robert Gladish of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, and Norman Gladish of Munford, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by two children, his son, Charlie Gladish and his stepson Clay Rosson; one brother, Neal Gladish; and one grandchild, Colie Gladish.
