William “Bud” Rawdon, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, July 07, 2024, at NHC-Maury Regional Transitional Care Center in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Summertown, TN, retried from Murray Ohio, and a member of Summertown Church of Christ. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and watching sports and westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Whitfield and Sara Grace “Sally” Higdon Rawdon; his wife, Ruth Ellen Walker Rawdon; one brother, Cecil Rawdon; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera Hannah (Pete), and Betty McClelland (Billy).
He is survived by one son, Chris Rawdon (Dawn) of Spring Hill, TN; one daughter, Ann Rawdon Mathews (Tommy) of Summertown, TN; five grandchildren, Hannah Rawdon Redican (Michael) of Spring Hill, TN, Dr. Madison Rawdon of Nashville, TN, Thomas Scott Mathews of Lawrenceburg, TN, Samuel Austin Mathews (Emily) of Johnson City, TN, and Marla Mathews Castorena (Clem) of Summertown, TN; one sister, Marie Thomas of Knoxville, TN; and one sister-in-law, Etta Rawdon of Lawrenceburg, TN,
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2024, with Ricky Glass officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
