William Boyce "Butch" Stedham Profile Photo William Boyce “Butch” Stedham, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at his home in Jackson, TN. He was born on July 30, 1952, in Russellville, AL to the late Oscar Malone (OM) and Bobbie Hamilton Stedham. After graduating from Russellville High School and attending college, Butch found his passion for history and antiques.

Butch was not only known for his career as an antique dealer but also for his lively personality. He could wheel and deal with the best, especially when it came to buying antiques. Few people had more knowledge about antiques as he did. He was a great antiques dealer, as well as a fair one. Described as someone with great wit and sense of humor, and lots of fun, he brought joy to all those around him. He loved the delivery of a good joke to make others laugh. His love for animals was evident as he cherished his fur babies at home, Rosie and Callie. Butch’s dedication to the Crimson Tide football team knew no bounds as his “blood ran red” for Alabama.

In his 71 years of life, Butch touched the hearts of many. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gail Howard Stedham of Jackson, TN; sister Teresa Stough (Doc) of Muscle Shoals, AL; uncle Hugh Stedham (Norma); aunt Clovis Hamilton; nephew Jordon Stough (Melondie), and nieces Christi Bowling (Kelvin) and Traci Jones (Mark). He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and a great-nephew. A special mention goes out to Kendall Cooper Thompson, a dear friend of Butch and Gail’s, whom he loved dearly.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle Bill Hamilton and aunt Martha McCluskey and her husband Jim.

SERVICE:   Butch’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, AL. Visitation with family and friends will be preceding the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
