William “Bobby” Joseph Nichols – Obituary

William “Bobby” Joseph Nichols, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 21, 2014. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents William “Bill” Joseph and Ella Nichols, a son, William Joseph Nichols, a daughter, Angela Faye Nichols Malone, his wife, Jeanetta Faye Nichols and wife, Mary Nichols. Bobby is survived by his grandchildren, Morgan Malone and Sammie Malone. He is also survived by his brother, James W. Nichols, sister-in-law, Doris Nichols, sister, Mary E. Lugo, step-daughter and her husband, Kay and Wendell Waite, brother-in-law, Billy Turner and six nieces and nephews.
Bobby retired from the Huntsville Fire Department with 30 years of service and was also a valued employee at Roper’s Flowers for many years, where he enjoyed delivering flowers to many of the residents of Madison County. Bobby was a faithful member of the West Huntsville Church of Christ, where he attended services and like to pass out quarters to the children in the pew in front of him. Bobby loved going out to eat with his family members and friends Billy Turner and Lawerence Edger and was a favorite patron of Dee’s Restaurant and Marvin’s Buffet, where it was well known that he favored banana pudding, strawberry shortcake and anything that included chocolate. Bobby had many friends throughout the community and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation for Mr. Nichols will be Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. Services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
