Funeral service for William ‘Billy’ Jasper Reid, 82, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m., Monday, June 27th, 2016 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Shedd Cemetery, Rev. Samuel Tucker, Rev. Floyd Bradford and Keith Roberson officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home,461 U.S Hwy. 278 East, Cullman, Alabama, 256-734-3144 is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Reid was born July 3, 1933 to Reese Larcus and Annie Mae Rogers Reid. He passed away June 24, 2016. He worked 26 years at Cullman Radio and TV. He was a musician, a ball player and was a great husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roland Reid, Clifton Reid, Amos ‘Web’ Reid, Ervin ‘Hoss’ Reid; sisters, Della Ann Reid, Vonda Lee Speegle, Shirley Jean Swann; son-in-law, Bruce Alden Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Mayhall Reid; Sisters, Ivalene Waldrep, Wilma Hollis; son, Gary (Tammy) Reid; daughter, Connie Thompson; granddaughters, Whitley Thomas, Haley Still, Savanah Reid; grandson, Westen Campbell; great-granddaughter, Briilee Still; great-grandsons, Logan Thomas, Gunner Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday evening at the funeral home from 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Terry Swann, Steve Hollis, William ‘Peanut’ Smith, Phillip Reid, Johnny Reid, Doug Whatley.
