William “Billy” Eugene Hall

 Mr. William “Billy” Eugene Hall, better known as “Tater,” age 75, a resident of Denham Avenue in Columbia, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 12PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Swango officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 4-8PM with a Masonic service beginning at 7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on January 26, 1944 in Gibson County, Tennessee, Billy was the son of the late William Henry Hall and the late Irene Seymour Hall. He worked several years as a lineman for Columbia Power and Water Systems and retired from IBEW where he worked as an electrician. Billy was a Master Mason of the Benton Lodge #111 in Santa Fe, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and an active Shriner. He was a member of the Fruit of the Vine and a member of the Elk’s Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and in his younger years was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and dove and quail hunting.

 

He is survived by his daughters: Lisa (Gary) Hosford of Columbia, Kelly Butler of Culleoka; grandchildren: Kimberly (Lee) Hargrove of Lynnville, Austin (Maggie) Craig of Hampshire, Ashlyn Butler of Kentucky; three great grandchildren: Rylan Hargrove, Henslee Reese Hargrove, Greta Kate Craig; and beloved Jack Russell: Sammy.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Hall on August 17, 2017.
