Celebration of Life Service for William “Bill” Whitehurst, 88, is set for 11:00 am Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Nathan VanHorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Box Chapel Cemetery.
Bill died December 19, 2024 in Corinth. He was born August 21, 1936 in Alcorn Co. to the late James Nolan and Blanche Galyean Whitehurst. He was a member of First Baptist Church and retired from Kimberly Clark. Bill enjoyed camping, hunting, NASCAR, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Whitehurst; parents; sister, Betty Bass; and daughter-in-law, Savannah Whitehurst.
He is survived by his son, Bobby Whitehurst; daughter, Betty Ann Coggin (Rick); grandchildren, Sarah Christian (Jared), Will Coggin, Kelli Williford (Derek); great grandchildren, Wyatt and Grady Christian; and nephew, David Bass (Kim).
