William “Bill” Taylor Gordon, also known as “Flash” of Belvidere, TN born in Tullahoma on September 16th, 1956 passed away on Sunday, August 25th, 2024 in Winchester at the age of 67 years. He was a man of many interests and hobbies who loved serving people. Bill was always trying to make people laugh and smile. He handled most situations with witty banter. He worked as an EMT in Winchester and served as the Fire Chief and Commissioner at Keith Springs. He was always available to help his family and friends at any moment. He loved cooking for people and later decided to turn his hobby into a second career. He graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality from Drake State College. He opened his own catering and mobile food service business. Bill was an active member of the community and was associated with the Kingdom Hall in Fayetteville. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Bill is survived by his wife Shalimar Qualls-Gordon, his children: Jennifer (Mike) Williams (Tullahoma), Mandiey (Wilson) Spain (Tullahoma), Jeremy (Dorothy) Gordon (Bellville, NC), Kristin (Ben) Waid (Madison, AL), and Kelsey Steele (Belvidere), 17 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, his mom Shirley Gordon (Huntsville, AL), his siblings: Becky (Kenneth) Bryant (Shelbyville), Bonnie (Gary) Jindrak (Manchester), Barbara (Glen) Galligan (Estill Springs), Brian (Tina) Gordon (Tullahoma), Chris (Sharon) Gordon (Tullahoma), Bill Jefferies (Huntsville, AL), Mike (Frankie) Jefferies (New Market, AL), and Dennis (Evalyn) Jefferies (O’dell, IL), numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews. He is preceded in death by his child: William Benjamin Gordon and his parents: Mary Hand Gordon (Jack Parris) (Tullahoma), and Ben Gordon (Huntsville, AL). Per the request of the families there will be two memorial services. The first service will be Thursday, August 29th 2024, at Highland Baptist Church in Tullahoma at 1 pm and the second service will be Saturday, September 7th 2024, at Kingdom Hall in Fayetteville at 3 pm.
