William “Bill” Moye, 78, passed away on February 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 6, 1945, in Wachula, FL.
Bill was a skilled engineer by profession, known for his dedication and craftsmanship. He took great pride in his work, leaving a lasting impact on the projects he undertook. Outside of work, Bill found joy in woodworking, particularly in carving and woodburning. His talent and passion for crafting were evident in every piece he created, and showcased his artistic abilities.
Bill was a true family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He had a knack for entertaining others with his jokes and witty sense of humor, leaving a lasting impression on both family and friends.
Bill grew up around the Gulf Coast of Florida, and spent many days hunting, fishing, and loving the beach life. The beach held a special place in his heart, providing him a peace only nature could supply.
Visitation will be at Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Lewisburg, TN from 1:30 to 3:00PM Sunday, February 25, 2024. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM, with burial at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Mae Moye Ruff and his brother, Billy Ruff. He is survived by his wife, Janice Moye; father, Lloyd Ruff; son, Stacey Moye; daughters, Tammy Garber (Chris) and Elaine Gilmer (Tammy); sister, Annette Hawkins (Joe); granddaughter, Alexis Garber and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill Moye will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
