William "Bill" Martin Aldridge William (Bill) Martin Aldridge, 80, of Toney, died Thursday, March 23, 2023, at his home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Bill was born June 30, 1942, in Wilsonville, Alabama. He graduated from East Limestone High School in 1962. He was a member of Capshaw Church of Christ.

He worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). He had a passion for sports and was a baseball and softball umpire for 43 years and also called volleyball matches and football games. He was a softball and basketball coach for several years at Johnson Junior High School.

He is preceded in death by his wife Linda Wagnon Aldridge of 49 years, mother and father Leslie and Irene Aldridge, brothers Marty Aldridge, Alton Aldridge, Carlton Aldridge, and sister Rhonda Marshal.

Bill was a loving daddy and granddaddy (Dodoe). Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Williams (husband, Jason) and a son, Steven Aldridge; two grandsons Blake Williams and Tyler Williams; a brother, Kenneth Aldridge (wife, Jackie); two sisters-in-law Dorcas Aldridge and Viola Aldridge; several nieces and nephews and one special baby Patches Aldridge.

Pallbearers are Keith Wagnon, Brian Wagnon, Phil Wagnon, Brien Aldridge, David Hasting, Joseph Hasting, Jeremy Casey, and Russell Casey.

Honorary pallbearers are Bill and Pam White, Roger and Janet Shireman, Tommy and Barbara Baugher, Randall and Dawn Wagnon, and Kevin Wagnon.
