William (Bill) F Crabtree, 93 of Brownsboro, passed away peacefully at home on
February 3, 2023.
He was born May 29, 1929 to Kennie and Lala Crabtree, in Gadsden, AL. He attended
Jacksonville State University. He was a United States Air Force veteran of WWII. HE
was a charter member of University Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL and Cornerstone
Baptist Church in Ryland, AL.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Anne Myrick Crabtree; children, Harold C
Campbell (Dana) and Greg D Campbell (Kim); grandchildren, Cassie, Jimmy, Kirk, Tate
and Dalton.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, daughter Donna James
and son Dennis Crabtree.
He retired from Redstone Arsenal in 1985 after 30 years of dedicated service. Bill was
an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was active in missionary trips to
Montana and Idaho. He was an avid bass fisherman and fan of Alabama Football.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Spry funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:30
PM.
The funeral, to be conducted by Cornerstone Baptist Church pastor Brother Jeff Bennett
and Brother Ed Johnson, will be held at Spry funeral home on Wednesday, February 8
at 1:00PM.
