William "Bill" Emory Dickson, Jr. Surrounded by his loved ones, William “Bill” Emory Dickson, Jr., 59, of Madison passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.

Bill was born on April 16, 1960 in Huntsville. After graduating from Grissom High School, he went on to study at Mississippi State University and then received his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Athens State College. Bill returned to Huntsville to pursue his career in Procurement and Logistics (flight simulator) at Boeing Defense Space and Security from which he would later retire.

Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Carl Allan Dickson. He is survived by his parents, William Emory Dickson Sr. and Beverly Jumper Dickson; sister, Donna Dickson Smith; sister-in-law, Mary Kirkland Dickson Kelley (William) of South Carolina; nieces, Ashley Hannah Smith, Sydney Smith Howard (Greg), and Kirkland Elizabeth Dickson; and nephew, Cyprian Clay Dickson (Alex); great-niece, Stella Rose Smith; and great-nephew, Trentin Krews Howard. Bill is also survived by his most loved dog, Beckie.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30 at Whitesburg Baptist Church South Campus. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 with Dr. Jimmy Jackson and Rev. David Loyed officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

At Bill’s request, he respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to UAB Transplant Unit, Pet Rescue/Humane Society, or the charity of your choosing.
