William “Bill” Earnest Burchell, Jr., age 90, of Florence, passed away March 4, 2016. Visitation will be Monday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Sonny Owens officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Bill was a graphic design artist for 65 years. He was a member of Petersville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Della Burchell, and sisters, Eunave Collins, Alliene Burchell and Betty O’Neal.
Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Glenda Gifford Burchell; children, Charles (Sharon) Burchell, Sherry (Larry) Cox, William “Chip” (Jackie) Burchell, and Lee (Cindy) Gifford; sister, Pauline Wilkes; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Bill was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. His humor brought joy to anyone he met.
