BillWilliam (Bill) Dennis Lindsey Jr., age 74, passed away Tuesday, March 19th, in his home in Decatur, AL., after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He was born January 4, 1939, to William Dennis Lindsey Sr. and Lucille Weinman Lindsey. He was a lifelong resident of Hartselle and Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and Nancy Sims Lindsey, wife, Ted Lindsey, brother, and Sandra Leigh Lindsey, sister. He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Bonnie Thrasher Lindsey, three daughters, Laura Jo Lindsey of Town Creek, Dinah Dobbs of Somerville, and Meg Harrell (Jay) of Madison; 5 grandchildren, Carrie Langston (Heath), Dennis Smith (Stefanie), Adrienne Leigh Harrell, Audrey Lane Harrell, and Grayson James Harrell; and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Heath Langston and Madelyn Elise Smith. Other survivors include three step-children, Vilera Mills (Alan) of Madison, Elizabeth Jackson (Justin) of Hartselle, Benjamin Robbins of Decatur, and Dr. J. Edward Robbins (Kim), Hartselle; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He graduated from Morgan County High in Hartselle and attended the University of Alabama. He was an accomplished businessman and co-owner of Acorn Products in Hartselle, AL. He was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartselle. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle, AL from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral will be conducted Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Hartselle led by Ministers Harold Thompson and Robert Sparkman. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
