William “Bill” Davis – Obituary

William “Bill” Davis, 86, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice. He was born August 13, 1926 in Itawamba County, MS. He was a farmer for more than 60 years and a member of Shady Valley Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 19, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Brady Ramey, Bro. Edwin Pharr and Bro. Jimmy Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Shady Valley Church of Christ Cemetery, Tremont, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are his brother-Buster Davis of Kenosha, WI and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife-Clasteen Davis; a son-William Davis; his parents-Dow and Edna Davis; two brothers-Bob and Lawrence Davis; and four sisters-Mildred, Melrose, Jenny and Madgie.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Humphries, Don Humphries, Darrell Humphries, Harry Vernon, Mark Vernon, Randy Rogers and Shelby Blanton.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, November 18, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al. and until service time on Monday.
