William “Bill” Allred, age 61, Lynn, AL. passed away Wednesday September 19, 2012. Visitation will be Friday September 21, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville. Funeral service will be Saturday September 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Bro. Mickey Crane officiating Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery. He was born in Cullman, AL., he served with the United States Army 101st Airborne during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of New Bethany Church of God. Bill was a wonderful husband, father and brother, but his biggest accomplishment in life was being a “Papa” to his grandsons. He loved fishing, hunting and spending his time taking care of “Lucy”. He is survived by his wife, Frances Barton Allred; Daughters, Heather (Shane)Wakefield and Tanya(Chad)Clark; His 2 pride and Joys, Grandsons, Cody Shane Wakefield and Kasey Gunner Clark; Sisters, Shirley(Jack)Springer, Judy(Phillip)Davenport, Brenda(Ernie)Swindle; Mother in law, Flora Mae Barton; Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by: Parents, Virgil and Dorothy Allred; Brothers, James and Jimmy Allred; Great Nephew, Lance Allred; Grandparents, W.T. and Julia Murphree; Father in law, Verlie Barton, Brother in law, David Barton.
