William Benjamin “Bennie” Pepper – Obituary

bennieWilliam Benjamin “Bennie” Pepper age 90 of Athens passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Pepper was born December 20, 1924 in Limestone County, AL to William Marvin Pepper and Clara McMunn Pepper.

Services will be Saturday, August 22, 2015 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with John Gibson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Marvin “Bill” Pepper and Clara McMunn Pepper; brother, G.W. Pepper; two sisters, Viola Ransom and Louise Hagood.

Survived by his wife, Virginia Barksdale Pepper; one son, William Bryant Pepper; two daughters, Gloria Peek and husband, Gary and Cindy Vining and husband, Ricky; four grandchildren, Shana Keenon and husband, Phil, Dustin Peek and wife, Ashley, Josh Vining and wife, Jennifer and Patrick Vining and wife, Beth Ann; eight great-grandchildren, Avery Keenon, Cara Keenon, Ellie Keenon, Titus Peek, Samuel Peek, Nathan Peek, Cole Vining and Ben Vining.
Brother, Jerry “Buddy” Pepper, four sisters, Maggie Hodges, Janie Ayers, Judy Bray and Carey Kraus; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh Vining, Patrick Vining, Dustin Peek, Phil Keenon, Brad Turner and Steve Turner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Limestone County or your favorite charity.
