William Bascom Thomas, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith Thomas; children, Dr. William ‘Billy’ B. Thomas and wife, Dr. Sherri Mellskog Thomas of Knoxville, TN, Melissa Thomas Salabarria and husband, Nelson, of Alpharetta, GA, and Mark Bailey Thomas and wife, Lisa, of New Market; grandchildren, Emelie and Jenna Thomas of Knoxville, TN, Christina and Danielle Salabarria of Alpharetta, GA, Jake Barnett and wife, Christina, of Smyrna, GA, and Sara Beth Barnett of Huntsville; great-grandson, Jacob Barnett of Smyrna, GA; nephew, Russel Thomas of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; nieces, Kathryn Schmidt of Jupiter, FL, Judi Thomas Broderick of Boston, MA, Elizabeth Allen of Queensbury, NY, and Susan Thomas of Whitestone, VA; and Linda’s extended Tennessee family members.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 20 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21 at Riverview Memorial Gardens, 119 River Drive, Fayetteville, TN with Danny Hanson officiating.
