A Celebration of Life Service for William Barry Rickman, Sr., 76, is set 2:00 pm for Monday, May 2, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Channing Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in the Fraley’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
Barry died April 29, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born January 27, 1946 in Alcorn Co. to the late Frank and Mary Lou Smith Rickman. He attended Fraley’s Chapel at an early age, but most recently had attended Shady Grove Methostist Church, until his health declined. He was a 1965 graduate of Alcorn Central High School who served in the National Guard. Barry was a body shop repair man for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing and drag racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Will Rickman and Jarell Rickman; brother, Billy Dan Rickman; brother-in-law, Guy Young; sister-in-law, Ann Rickman, and grandson-in-law, Jeh Stone.
He is survived by his sons, Shane Rickman (Cassie) and Rick Rickman (Melissa Scharkley); daughter, Carla Rickman Chapman; brother, Nelson Rickman; sister, Gail Young; grandchildren, Taylor Pettigrew (Josey), Paige Rickman, Colton Rickman, Colby Lizana, Torie Rickman, Carter Rickman, Caleb Rickman and Kabrie Tere Rickman; great grandchildren, Kayley and Peyton; and a host of other family and friends.
