William Bailey Chubb, 84 of Harvest, Alabama died on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Sunday, May 24, 1931 in Marquette, Michigan, he was the son of the late Parcival Charles Chubb and the late Viola Bailey Chubb. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a Veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid runner and retired from Marshall Space Flight Center after 36 years.
Surviving are his wife: Carol Chubb of Harvest, AL, daughter: Kathleen (John) Bush of Harvest, AL, sons, William (Pamela) Chubb of Dallas, TX and Stephen (Cathy) Chubb of Madison, AL, daughter, Mary Jo (Evan) Russell of Lafayette, LA, and grandchildren: Elizabeth McLean, Richard Bush, Michael Bush, Austin Kachele, Carol Anne Kachele, William Chubb, Deborah Chubb, Joshua Chubb, Caitlyn Chubb, and Anna Chubb.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Madison, Alabama, with Bro. Alan Weatherly and Bro. Ted Amey officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Asbury United Methodist Church, Madison, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either Asbury United Methodist Church or to Samaritans Purse.
