William B. “Bill” Reifers, Jr., 82, passed away October 6, 2023, at his home in Ecru, MS. Bill graduated from Okolona High School, he then joined the United States Marine Corps, serving honorable until 1963. Following in his dad’s footsteps Bill became a very successful brick mason until 2002. He was on the Board of Alderman for the city of Okolona for a number of years. Bill enjoyed fishing, doing yard work with his wife, Bonnie of 33 years, and watching the Ole Miss Rebels play. He was an active member of Ecru Methodist Church and will be remembered as being a faithful man of God, and a loving father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Reifers; his children, Bill Reifers (Lori), John Reifers (Paige), Melinda Kindler (Dustin), Wayne Gregory (Melissa) and James Gregory; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his dad, William Reifers, Sr.; mother, Annie Mae Lunn Reifers; son, Chuck Reifers; and his brother, Joe Nate Reifers.
There will be a Memorial Service at 3PM Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Ecru Methodist Church with Bro. Dustin Kindler officiating.
