William Andrew Berry, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. Known for his steadfast loyalty, warmth, and love for family, William was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda Berry, his two daughters, Tammy Berry and Serena Berry, and his cherished grandson, Cameron Berry, who brought endless joy to his life. He is also remembered by his brother, Steve Berry, and sister-in-law, Linda Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gussie Berry.
Born and raised in Huntsville, William graduated from Huntsville High School, setting the foundation for a life filled with passion, kindness, and dedication. A true Alabama football fan, he rarely missed a game and could often be heard cheering on his team with the fervor that his family loved. An avid fisherman, William found peace and contentment in the stillness of the water, often casting a line and enjoying the beauty of nature.
William spent countless hours in his workshop, tinkering with projects big and small, always with a smile and a sense of purpose. His hands built memories, and his heart crafted a legacy of love and laughter. He adored his grandson Cameron and treasured every moment they spent together, whether it was teaching him something new or simply sharing a quiet afternoon.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 11:00 am with Chris Johnson officiating.
