William A. Whitehead, 61, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at his residence. William was born on August 31, 1963, to Miles Rayburn and Ethel Gerry Whitehead in Pontotoc County. He enjoyed carpentry, mechanic work, preparing mortar for bricklayers, and watching anything racing related especially Nascar. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren who fondly called him PaPaw.
Survivors include his partner of 45 years, Donna Summar, his son, Miles Whitehead (Joni), his grandchildren, Audumn, Skylar, and Noah, his sister, Alice Swords (Randy), his brother, Raymond Whitehead, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, John Whitehead, Sr. and Gerry Whitehead, his sister, Barbara Owens, and his granddaughter, Miracle Whitehead.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 12PM. Bro, Cooper Swords will officiate. Burial will follow in Ecru Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wheeler, John Whitehead, Jimmy Malone, Johnny Grisham, Eddie Heair, Roger Whitehead, and Glen McKissack.
