billWilliam A. “Bill” Windham, 84, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born April 12,1932 in Tippah County to Mr. Elgie B. Windham and Eula Mae Flake Windham. He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School and a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea. He met and soon married the love of his life, Reita Gail Chrestman of Houlka, MS on January 10,1953. To their union they would add a son, Stewart Windham and later the “twins” Karen & Keith. Bill moved to Tupelo in September 1963, opening a catering business as well as grocery stores on Joyner Street & Green Street. In 1972, he opened Windham’s Mobile Homes and remained a fixture in the manufactured housing industry until his death. He loved working, selling and meeting people. In his spare time he loved mowing yards for his family.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Today, May 31, 2016 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Dr. Bryan Collier officiating. Private entombment will follow at the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from Noon-service time today at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Stewart Windham.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Reita Gail Windham of Tupelo; daughter, Karen Windham of Tupelo; son Keith Windham(Ronda) of Corinth; grandchildren Blayze Windham, Chase Windham and Mason Tudor of Tupelo; Matt Windham of Corinth; and Sara Ekiss(Chris) of Bowling Green, KY.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Windham’s Mobile Homes.
