Willene R. Jackson, age 94, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.A graveside service for Willene will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Crestwood Cemetery, 2209 E Broad Street, Gadsden, Alabama 35903. Bro. Lauil Thompson will officiate.
Mrs. Jackson was born April 10, 1929 in Cleveland, AL to John and Belle Richards. She was a 1947 graduate of Cleveland High School. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the East Gadsden United Methodist Church, VFW and the Goodyear Women’s Club. She was a world traveler having been to 70 countries, some more than once, and all 50 states.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jackson and 19 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Tim (Alyson) Jackson; grandchildren, Merrill Jackson Friday and Taylor (Lindsay) Jackson; great grandchildren, Jane and Alys Friday, as well as, a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
