A Celebration of Life service for Willard Strachan, 88, of Corinth is set for Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 2 pm at Glendale Baptist Church with interment in Indian Springs Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 12pm-2pm at Glendale Baptist Church. Bro. Jon Haimes will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Logan Strachan, Spencer Strachan, John Neal Welch, Kaden Neal, Keith Strachan, Tracy Strachan and Nealy Welch. The Adult Men’s Sunday School Class of Glendale Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Born November 15, 1936 in Glen, MS., Mr. Strachan passed from this life on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was of the Baptist faith being a member of Glendale Baptist Church. He was a foreman at Dana Corp for several years and ended his career as foreman of Corinth Gas and Water with many years of service. Willard was a jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed go to George’s Diner every morning to eat and drink coffee with his buddies, watching the Atlanta Braves and westerns and his every Wednesday Coffee Break at Glendale Baptist Church with his friends there. But what gave him the biggest joy was watching his grandson play baseball and listening to gospel music. Willard is survived by his wife of 24 years, Blonda Welch Strachan; son, Terry Strachan; daughters, Lisa Strachan and Sommer Strachan; stepson, Todd Welch (Christy); 5 grandchildren, Logan Strachan, Spencer Strachan, Kaden Neal, John Neal Welch and Nealy Welch; brother, Kenneth Strachan (Jean); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William Strachan; mother, Lilly Strachan; brothers, Joseph Strachan, Harold Strachan, Donald Strachan and his sister, Edith Smith. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. Willard Strachan.
