Mrs. Willa Pearl Wade Gatlin departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 9 Months, 19 Days. She was born July 16, 1927 in Limestone County, AL the daughter of the late Lester John and Omie Carville Wade. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gatlin was preceded in death by daughter, Peggy Gatlin Walls; a brother, Kenneth Wade. She was united in marriage to Hollis Gatlin on November 8, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2001.
Mrs. Willa Pearl was a homemaker and is survived by sons, Tony Gatlin ( Peggy) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Richard Gatlin ( Retha) ; Bobby Gatlin ( Kelly) and Tommy Gatlin all of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Rebecca Gatlin Southern of Lawrenceburg, TN, Rita Gatlin Lynn (Joel) of Waynesboro, TN; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Wade of Lawrenceburg, TN; sister, Janet Staggs of Lawrenceburg, TN; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 7, 2015, at 11:00 am at Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery in the Ovilla Community, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Ray Watkins officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 6 to 9 pm and Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 8 am to 10:15 am at Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN.
