Willa Dean Smith – Obituary

Willa Dean Smith departed this life on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at the age of 63 years, 7 months, 25 days.

She was born on December 18, 1948, the daughter of Junell Marie Barnes Clausel and the late John Edwin Clausel. In August of 1988, she was united in marriage to Glen Louis Smith, Jr., who preceded her in death on September 29, 1998. Willa Dean worked for the McNairy County Developmental Services for 14 years and was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. She was a CNA and had done other services in the healthcare field. Willa Dean loved her job, the people she worked with and helping the mentally challenged. For many years she had opened her home up and was a foster mother to those in need. She loved flower gardening, fishing and cooking.

Willa Dean is survived by her mother, Junell Clausel; son, Bud Smith of Adamsville, Tennessee; daughters, Tammy Pritchard of Selmer, Tennessee and Kimberly Weeks of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lacey Hampton, Austin Pritchard, Billy Jack Moffett and Kendra Walker; brother, Larry Clausel of Adamsville, Tennessee; sister, Dianne Clausel of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Clausel and Jerry Clausel.
