Mrs. Willa Dean Banks, 85, of Killen, AL passed away on Thursday July 23, 2020 at her residence.
She was born December 18, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama to Homer Trucks and Mamie Pauline Blackwood Trucks.
Mrs. Banks is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 68 years Robert C. Banks, Sr. and one great grandson Aaron Scott.
She is survived by her son Robert C. Banks, Jr. (Linda), two daughters Linda Whitehead (Steve), and Mary Ann Banks, six grandchildren Amanda Scott (Angus), Scott Braden, Robbie Branden (Jennifer), Ryan Banks (Kristen), Matthew Banks (Susan) and Jonathan Banks (Katlyn), nineteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Banks enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to quilt.
The Graveside Service will be Saturday July 25, 2020 at 2 P.M. at Roselawn Cemetery with Gary Lovett officiating. Visitation will be Saturday July 25, 2020 from 12:30-2 P.M at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Al.
