Willie “W.J.” Joseph Winsted, age 78, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012. His funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, with Brother Ricky Zhand officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Winsted was a Colbert County native and a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Winsted; his sister, Betty Patton; and his brother, Jim Winsted.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frauline DeVaney Winsted; daughter, Pamela Stonecipher (Dewayne); grandchildren, Heather Hand (Aaron), Heath Stonecipher (Tiffany); stepgrandchildren, Brandi Willingham, Amanda James; great-grandchildren, Allyson, Katelyn, Elijah and Jonah Hand, Madelyn and Benjamin Stonecipher; five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are John Baskins, Donald Patton, Rod Patton, Jerrmie Green, Clint Hart, Hershel Winsted, Robert Cornelius and George Bates.
Honorary Pallbearers are Heath Stonecipher, Aaron Hand, Elijah Hand, Jonah Hand and Benjamin Stonecipher.
