Wiley Edward (Buddy) Petty, Jr., 76, of Huntsville passed away Saturday, March 8th. Buddy was born and raised in the Huntsville area and graduated form Monrovia High School in 1955. He started his banking career at the historic First National Bank and then worked as President for Security Federal Savings and Loan and also with Alabama Federal over his 36 year banking career. After leaving the banking profession, Buddy worked as the Business Manager of Tag Auto Repair, where he was employed until his death. Survivors include his wife: Shirley Lawler Petty; three sons: Barry Alan Petty, Joseph Kent Petty and Kyle Edward Petty. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Terry Herald officiating. Burial will be in Bayless and Lawler Cemetery in New Market, AL.
