Wilda Louise SmithMs. Wilda Louise Smith, age 98, of Crossville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024. She was born on June 14, 1926, to the late Dan and Elise White. Ms. Wilda was devoted to her family, faith, and community. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the love she shared with everyone she met.
Ms. Wilda is survived by her daughters, Jennie Smith and Cathey Smith; her sons, Jimmy (Cyndy) Smith and Tony (Angela) Smith; her grandchildren, Amanda (Derek) Randle and Matt (Anna) Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Camden Randle, Colton Randle, and Bethany Smith. She also leaves behind her sisters, Rebecca Hyde, Margarett Davis, and Carol Bearden, as well as her brother, Don (Pam) White.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, L.C. Smith; her parents, Dan and Elise White; her sisters, Faye Hibbs, Vivian Dollar, Doris White, Marie White, and Sallie Armstrong; and her brothers, J.D. White Jr., Pete White, Nolan White, and Randall White.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at the Adams Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Ms. Wilda will be laid to rest at New Cannan Cemetery.
The service will be officiated by Ministers Chris Andrews, Charles Smith, and Mark Hall. Pallbearers will include Matt Smith, Derek Randle, James Bryant, Daniel Bryant, Jeff Smith, and Larry Davis.
