Wilda Joyce Williams Profile PhotoWilda Joyce Williams, 84, of Town Creek, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at NHC of Moulton, surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 03, 2024, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Lowe-Gardner Funeral Home in Quitman, Texas. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Mineola, Texas.

Born on January 31, 1940, to Notie and Ouida Puckett Dyess, Wilda Joyce was a member of Hainesville Baptist Church in Texas. In recent years she was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Town Creek, AL. Wilda Joyce enjoyed painting, cooking, singing, and spending time with her family. Wilda Joyce was always taking care of everyone else. Above all Wilda Joyce was a devout Christ follower.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Robert Williams; two children, Robin (Jeff) Proctor and Todd (Angie) Williams; grandchildren, Bretinie (Jeremey) Alvis, Jake Farris, Jacy (Drew) Wear, Dylan Powell, Kaila (Heath) Morgan, and Jesse Proctor; great-grandchildren, Jacob Alvis, Ryder Alvis, Willa Kate Alvis, Tripp Wear, Karson Morgan, Kohen Morgan, and Klara Morgan; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Wilda Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Notie and Ouida Dyess; one brother, Bill Dyess; and two sisters, Sarah Williams and Phyllis Dyess.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Powell, Ryder Alvis, Jeremey Alvis, Drew Wear, Lee Williams Jr., and David Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jake Farris, Jacob Alvis, and Vance Tyler.

The family extends special thanks to NHC of Moulton and Dr. Tuckier and staff.
