COLBERT COUNTY-The Colbert County Tourism Bureau has issued their upcoming events for November as well as the Christmas movie series at the Ritz and a list of all the Christmas parades. So get ready for a month full of fun in Colbert County.
November 12-13 & 18-20, 2022 – Sanders Family Christmas, Ritz Theatre 111 W 3rd St, Sheffield. Sanders Family Christmas is the sequel to Connie Ray and Alan Bailey’s wildly successful bluegrass gospel musical Smoke on the Mountain. It’s December 24, 1941, and America
is going to war. So is Dennis Sanders, of the Sanders Family Singers. Join Pastor Mervin Oglethorpe and the rest of the Sanders family as they send Dennis off with hilarious and touching
stories and twenty-five Southern Gospel Christmas favorites. Performances: Fridays/

November 15 – December 23, 2022 – Winter Art Market, Tennessee Valley Museum of Art,
511 N Water St, Tuscumbia. Find the perfect gifts for your loved ones as the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art’s Winter Art Market returns for its biggest event yet! 50+ artists will be will
offering everything from paintings to blown glass, jewelry to clothing, pottery to woodworking, and baskets to home goods. A wide range of price points ensures you find just what
you’re looking for, from stocking stuffers to elaborate gifts. The November 12 “Members Only” opening will be a special first-pick shopping event for TVAA members 10am-3pm. The
market opens to the public November 14. Hours for the market are Tuesday-Friday 9 am-5
pm and Saturday 10 am-5 pm. The market will be closed November 23-25 for Thanksgiving.
It will be open on Saturday, November 26 for Small Business Saturday. Admission is $5 for

November 17, 2022 – An Evening with Dan Penn, Old Grace Event Venue, 700 N Montgomery Ave, Sheffield. Enjoy a night of music by the legendary Dan Penn, and help him celebrate his 81st birthday! Hear his songs and stories that made him legendary such as “Do
Right Woman, Do Right Man” (Aretha Franklin), “Dark End of the Street” (James Carr), and
“A Woman Left Lonely” (Janis Joplin). Other classics by the duo of Penn and Spooner Oldham include such hits as “Cry Like a Baby” (the Box Tops), “I’m Your Puppet” (James and
Bobby Purify), and “A Woman Left Lonely” and “It Tears Me Up” (Percy Sledge). Doors open

November 19, 2022 – Christmas in the Country, LaGrange College Site Park, 1491 LaGrange
College Road, Leighton. Take a walk back in time and experience Christmas of yesteryear.
Be sure to stop by the Welcome Center upon arrival and purchase something delicious at
the annual Bake Sale. Pioneer log cabins will be decorated inside and out for self-guided
tours. Other activities include arts and crafts vendors, hay rides to the historic LaGrange
Cemetery, shopping at the Country General Store, and visits with Santa. Saturday’s event is
9am – 4pm. No admission is charged, but donations are welcomed and go toward upkeep
