SHEFFIELD – The beautiful stained glass windows that adorned the church for a hundred years are presently sitting in a storage building. The doors are secured and posted. One will never again hear hymns and spiritual songs from the Sanctuary. No more Ice Cream Suppers. The brick exterior walls have an ominous tilt.
And tonight, the final chapter may be written for the 2nd oldest church in Sheffield.
The Sheffield City Council will tonight undertake the unenviable job of deciding whether or not to demolish the ruins of Grace Episcopal Church.
