Westelle McGraw Mrs. Westelle Mosley McGraw, 99, of Anderson, Alabama passed from her earthly home to her Heavenly home November 6th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was baptized in Cullman, Alabama into the Church of Christ faith. She worked at Slant and Slant until she married the love of her life on September 3rd,1955 Albert McGraw. She was a stay-at-home Mom until her children were older then went to work at Rogersville Manufacturing and retired after several years. She decided to go back to work and then later retired from the Cotton Gin. Westelle loved to sing and listen to gospel music and was once an alto singer for a family quartet. Westelle was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to cook and have family over to a delicious meal that covered the whole table plus the kitchen cabinets. She was famous for her homemade rolls and homemade donuts, even though everything she cooked was delicious. She also loved her flower garden in her earlier years until her health kept her from working it. She loved her husband Al, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart and they all returned that love. Westelle is survived by her three children, Regina Watson, Lisa McGraw (Freddy), and Keevin (Kim) McGraw, four grandchildren: Candace Ellis (Jason deceased), Shawn Watson (Heather), Tiffany Gatlin (Matt),and Angela Whitten Pounders (Tyler)and 10 great-grandchildren: Gage Ellis, Paige Ellis, Nahaven Taylor, Taeson Watson, Kaleb McGraw, Karlie McGraw, Karson Gatlin, Kayson Gatlin, Noah Pounders, and Emmie Pounders, Brother T.W. Mosley and sisters Gwendolyn Long and Patricia Balentine (Joe), sister-in-law Wynitta Mosley and special sister-in-law Genell McGraw and special friend Patsy Watkins along with several nieces and nephews. Westelle was preceded in death by her parents Odis and Bertha Shelton Mosley, 3 infant siblings, her loving husband of 51 years Dr. Albert McGraw, grandson Shane Watson, identical twin sister Estelle Newton(Turner), brothers: Herman Lee Mosley(Stella), Willard Mosley(Etha), Kinelues Mosley (Jwanita), O.B. Mosley (Melanie) and brother-in-law Gerald Long. Pallbearers will be Freddy Brown, Gage Ellis, Matt Gatlin, Kaleb McGraw, Richard Cox, and Adam Cox. Honorary pall bearer is Robert Newton. The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone at Southern Care Hospice. Our very special nurse who has been here since day one Danah Starr Baird who is family now, we love you always, our other special nurse Melanie Graham who is family now, we love you always and the ones we saw every now and again and just fell in love with, Ashley Petrey, Rose Lawson, Britney Froman, Chapel, Paris, Carmen Our precious aide Tammy who is family now and we love you always, Our wonderful Chaplin Ein. Our wonderful social workers Emily Stafford, Ryan, Justin and Joann, we love you all and you have been so loved by us all. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Marty Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Anderson, Alabama.
