Wesley Allen Roberts, age 63, a resident of Culleoka, passed away Saturday morning, December 12, 2020 at his residence.

 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow at Slaughter Cemetery in Santa Fe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December15, 2020 from 4-8PM and again on Wednesday from 1-2PM at the funeral home. The family requests those who plan on attending the visitation or funeral, please wear a mask. Masks are provided by the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on February 9, 1957 in Maury County, Wesley was the son of the late Harold Allen Roberts and the late Annice Cates Roberts. He worked 12 ½ years as a foreman for Cates & Puckett Construction Company Inc. and was previously self-employed in construction for many years. He could fix, repair, and build anything perfectly. In his younger years, he often enjoyed hunting. Wesley loved all music, especially Elvis Presley. Above all, he loved God, his daughter, grandbabies, and family.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Dana (Joseph) Woodard of Columbia; grandchildren: Graci Marie Woodard, Skylar Reese Woodard, Josie Anne Woodard; step mother, Carolyn Roberts of Columbia; siblings: Hank (Elaine) Roberts of Columbia, Roy “Marty” (Jan) Roberts of Culleoka, Doris (Gordon) Thomas of Columbia, Yolanda Roberts of Columbia, Penny (Elbert) Cates of Columbia; the mother of his daughter, Helen Roberts; devoted cousin, Steven Cates; very special friend, Cathy Scott Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Roberts, Jacob Cates, B.J. Cates, Bradley Thomas, Elbert Cates, Steven Cates, Ronnie “Bobo” Scott, and Scott Tucker Bowling. Honorary pallbearers will include: Roy Roberts, Jr., Tommy Martin, and the employees of Cates & Puckett Construction Company Incorporated
