Wendy Shay David, age 55, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on August 11, 1961, the daughter of Ronald Hackett and Ann Cecil. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church and the Carrie Moffitt Sunday School Class. Wendy was a very unselfish person with a big heart who was very passionate about her volunteer work with Birth Choice of Jackson. Her world revolved around her family as a wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and was a lover of animals.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, Phil David of Jackson, TN; two children, Melissa Pollock and husband Andrew of Bells, TN and Nathan David of Jackson, TN; her mother and step father, Ann Sarris and husband Lou of Salt Lake City, UT; two brothers, Richard Hackett and Robert Hackett and one sister, Heather Evans and husband Rhett all of Salt Lake City, UT and six grandchildren, Hunter Graves, Anna Graves, Elizabeth Graves, Lorilyn Pollock, Liana Pollock and Kaden Pollock.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Dr. Philip Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Bluff Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Matthew David, Richard Hackett, Andrew Pollock, Buddy Carter, Hunter Graves and Brent Lambert.
The family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to Birth Choice of Jackson, 391 Wallace Road, Jackson, TN 38305 or to the American Cancer Society, 2935 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.
