“On Sunday afternoon the police department received a call at Champion Chevrolet that a window had been broken out of one service bay doors. One of the employees had stopped by and noticed the window had been broken. It was determined that one set of keys to a vehicle had been taken from inside the building. Late Sunday night Lt Dusty Meadows was checking the business when he noticed a SUV with the driver’s door open. He then noticed one of the new trucks light flashing. While checking the SUV Meadows located 2 sets of keys in the SUV. He also found where the building had been entered a second time. Later in the evening a review of the video system revealed three to four black males in the parking lot when Meadows started checking the lot. When they saw Meadows they ran dropping keys to other vehicles. A search of the area didn’t locate anyone.
On Sunday morning the police department received a call of a 2007 Honda Accord being stolen from Champion. The owner of the vehicle is an employee there.
Early Monday morning Lt. Meadows was checking McClary Ford when he located a broken window in the service bay. Management determined the keys to eight vehicles had been taken.
