Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Morris, age 81, will be held Saturday October 5,2024, at 1pm in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until service time in the chapel.
Mr. Morris worked for Anderson’s Furniture and Floor Covering for 60 years. He was on the TSSD Board of Education, Gibson County Airport Board, and BPOE of The Elks in Trenton. There he was past exalted ruler, district deputy, and treasurer. Mr. Morris enjoyed yardwork, fishing, and feeding the fish in his pond.
Mr. Morris is preceded in death by: his parents James and Mattie (Whitten) Morris; his two siblings, Coy Morris of Milan, TN and Ollie Rose Martin of Jackson, TN; his daughter Cheryl Brown of Trenton, TN.
Mr. Morris is survived by: his wife Brenda Morris, of Trenton, TN; his two children, Marlene Buchanan and husband Tony of Scotts Hill, TN, Jennifer Watson and husband Frank of Lexington, TN; three stepchildren, Amy Thorton and husband Chuck and Keith Siler and wife Lisa all of Dyer, TN, and Kevin Siler and wife Dawn of Rutherford, TN; three siblings, George Morris, of Beech Bluff, TN, Paul Morris, of Lexington, TN, and Anita Self, of Brownsville, TN; eleven grandchildren, Zach Buchanan of Texas, Tyler Watson of Lexington, TN, Tiffany Seals and husband Jeremy of McEwen TN, Nick Siler and wife Kaylin of McKenzie, TN, Hope Tiller and husband Andrew and Sarah Catherine Thorton of Nashville, TN, Brooke Siler of Murfreesboro TN, Jake Siler and Emma Siler, of Dyer, TN, Siler Thorton and Everett Siler of Rutherford, TN; and nine great grandchildren.
