  Wayne Joseph Gibour, 82, of Florence, AL, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend journeyed on to his heavenly home April 16, 2023. While he is now with all those that have gone before him, the impact of his lost felt by those he left behind.

Wayne was born September 15, 1940, in Menominee, MI to Walter Gibour and Rosalia Gibour (Kluba) and lived in Wildwood, IL until he relocated to the Shoals area in 1994. He graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1958. He was an Army Veteran. On arriving in the Shoals, he owned the Muscle Shoals Culligan Water business until he retired. Wayne had been a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Shoals, Shoals Professional & Business Club, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, and the American Legion Post #11 Florence. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan during both highs and lows but had also become a local college football fan.

Wayne leaves behind his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 63 years, Dianna “Mickey” Gibour (Dickinson); daughter, Joy Riley, of Beach Park, IL; sister, Arlene Lolley of Wildwood, IL; daughter-in-law, Frances Gibour (Vela), of Monahan, TX and a granddaughter.

He was proceeded in his journey home by his parents; sons, Daniel Gibour (Regina) and Michael Gibour; brother, Melvin Gibour; sisters, Elizabeth Gibour, Cheryl Agnew; and son-in-law, JJ Riley.

On Saturday, April 22, 2023, his family and friends will welcome all to join in a final memorial at Good Shepard Lutheran Church at 2001 Cloyd Blvd, Florence AL 35630 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Casual attire. Green Bay Packer attire preferred, but any sports team acceptable.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Good Shepard Lutheran Church at 2001 Cloyd Blvd, Florence AL 35630.
