Wayne Grimes, 81, of Booneville passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of the Hills Chapel Church of Christ. Wayne loved fishing, hunting, gardening and raising cows.
A celebration of life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Dwain Brown and Minister Craig Chandler officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Gretchen Grimes; his sons, Darrell Grimes (Paula) and Tracy Grimes; his grandchildren, Julie Grimes, Cory Lee (Kim) and Matthew Lee; his great-grandchildren, Gabee Kate Lee, Colton Lee, Grayley Lee, Kendall Lee and Brady Lee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his parents, Clint and Novalee Grimes; and his brother, Curtis Grimes.
Pallbearers will be Reed Ivy, Riley Ivy, Ramsey Ivy, Harold Johnson, Gerald Johnson, and Gene Tennison.
