Warren H. Jenkins age 91 of Athens, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Limestone Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Jenkins was born July 20, 1923 in Limestone County, AL to John L. Jenkins and Josie Ovella Elrod Jenkins.
Services will be Friday, December 19, 2014 3:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Roger Patrick and Bill Irby officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ and attended West Hobbs Street Church of Christ the last several years. He was an elder of Mt Carmel Church of Christ for 50 years and an avid sports fan. Mr. Jenkins was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his wife, Erline Ocile Jenkins; ; parents, John & Ovella Jenkins; three brothers, Dupree Jenkins, Woodrow Jenkins and William Jenkins; one sister, Beatrice Williams.
Survived by two daughters, Marselle Leopard and husband, Roger and Sue Totten and husband, Mike both of Athens; three grandchildren, Kurt Leopard, John Totten and Beata Moore; two great-grandsons, Kellen Leopard and Ace Totten.
