Funeral service for Wanda “Willine” (Montgomery) Legg, age 84, of Moulton will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ron Manley and Jerry Armor officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Legg, who died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her residence, was born January 9, 1939, to Russell and Christine Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Ricky Long; daughter-in-law, Donna Young Legg; and brothers-in-law, Mosey Looney and John Mosley.

Willine was an amazing woman who was loved by any who were blessed enough to cross her path. She followed God as a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She could always be found in the garden, in a book, or making her way through any craft you could imagine, but the greatest joys in life were her husband, and their family. She brought a light into this world that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Legg; daughter, Ramona Legg Long; son, Jeff Legg (Donna Jones Legg); daughter, Melissa Legg Fleming (Darryl); brother, Don Montgomery (Betty); three sisters, Doris Looney Frost (Gilbert), Gayle Porter (Elton), and Vicki Mosley; seven grandchildren, Josh Long (Abby), Jake Long (Ashley), Annie South (Bo), Zach Legg (Cassie), Chelsie Hobbs (Jimmy), Caine Fleming (Angela), and Ragan Hill (Jordan); and 16 great-grandchildren, Eli Long, Harper Long, Kellar Long, Kenley Long, Adaline Long, Maycee Smith, Zoey Hobbs, Tanner Hobbs, Travis Hobbs, Tucker Legg, Paizley Legg, Gage Fleming, Dax Hill, Ryker Fleming, Maggie Hill, and Rhett Fleming.

Pallbearers will be Josh Long, Zach Legg, Jake Long, Caine Fleming, Bo South, Jordon Hill, and Jimmy Hobbs.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Jessica Hale and Ann Polly, and SouthernCare Hospice, Dorinda Porter, Kimberly Pace, Shawna Stanfiel, and Chasity Elms.
