Wanda Smith Mannahan, 60, of Huntsville, AL passed away April 25, 2020. She was born in Goldsboro, NC on May 27, 1959. In 1968 she moved with her family to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands where she mademany life-long friends. In 1974, she returned to Huntsville graduating from Grissom High School.

Wanda had a special gift of bringing people together. She loved spending time with friends: playing board games, hanging out sharing stories, laughing, giving advice, or you name it. She was always calling to check on family and friends. When she set her mind to accomplish something, nothing would stand in her way. She found joy planning numerous Kwaj Kid reunions. She was the glue that connected so
many people across the miles and years. She touched many lives.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Darren Mannahan; mother, Bonnie Matheny; step-father, Gary Matheny; father, Bobby Smith; step-mother, Sandi Smith; sister, Wendy Smith Powers; step-sister, Stacey Mays Drake (Chris); step-brother, Chuck Matheny (Regina); niece, Michelle Vincent (Chris); nephew, Allen Powers; and many step-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her step-brother Steve Mays.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
