Wanda Neal Smith, of Blountsville, Alabama, passed away on July 23, 2022, at the age of 98. She was born in Blountsville, Alabama, on August 10, 1923, to B.F. and Phebie Tidwell Neal.

Mrs. Smith was a beloved Avon Lady for a great number of years. She was also a faithful member and treasure of the Rock Springs Methodist Church and a Worthy Matron of the Blountsville Chapter of the Eastern Star. Wanda was a faithful worker of many charities, one of which was the heart drive. She was famous for her coconut pies, ask anyone and they will confirm it. But most of all, Wanda was Mother, Granny Smith, and a friend.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Enzel Smith; her father, B.F. Neal; mother, Phebie Tidwell Neal; stepmother, Alberta Holmes Neal; and brothers and sisters, Ena Neal, Lillis Williams, Willard Craft, Garnet Neal, Addie McCutchen, Chalmers Neal, Wavey Price, Herman Neal, Myrtle Latham, Hoyt Neal, Quinten Neal, and B.F. Neal, Jr.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her children, Phillip (Shirley) Smith, Sandra Hudson, Mitchell Smith, Rickey (Mandy) Smith; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith are 12 noon, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Rock Springs Methodist Church, Bro. Mark Machen officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at the church, on Tuesday from 10 a.m., until services begin. Mrs. Smith will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery following services where Seth Machen, Daniel Smith, Joseph Gilliland, Alex Thomas, Matt Chandler, and Daniel Dauwe will serve as pallbearers alongside honorary pallbearers, Charles Smith, Ronnie Smith, Tony Gilliland, and Sam Singer.
