Memorial Services for Mrs. Wanda Lipford, age 56 of Ashland, will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethel Christian Church.
Mrs. Lipford passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at her home. She was born and raised in Avon Park, Florida and spent most of her life in Lake Placid, Florida. She worked primarily for Nationwide Insurance as an insurance agent for 15 years. After Mrs. Lipford and her family moved to Clay County 18 years ago, she also worked for Wellborn Cabinets, Koch Foods, Doller General, and Mapco. Her and her husband also owned a convenience store in High Pine for several years. Mrs. Lipford was an avid animal lover, raising and saving any kind of animal in need. She enjoyed going to the beach when she could, ride motorcycles with her husband, and going to antique and thrift stores with her daughter. Mrs. Lipford’s favorite flower was the Yellow Rose, enjoyed butterflies, dragonflies, birds, and spending time in the county. She was the hardest working woman her family knew.
Mrs. Lipford is survived by her husband, Brian Lipford of Ashland; her daughter, Lana Suggs (Jeromy) of Bluff Springs; her mother, Elizabeth Joiner of Adron, GA; two sisters: Hilda fay Cowart of Medder, GA and Teresa Jones (Drew) of Adron, GA; two brothers: Tommy Cowart of Medder, GA and Wayne Roland (Janet) of Lyons, GA; her uncles, Jimmy Roland and Doyle Roland (Betty), plus other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Little Carlton Roland; two sons: Austin and Travis Lipford; and her son-in-law, Clint Smith.
